In fact, it would likely be a lot less efficient to use a 4K texture than using multiple smaller textures for a single object, and those textures can be as small as 1x1 pixel, but more typically they're 512x512 or 1024x1024. Making a 4K texture will serve no benefit over a 1080 texture(which also isn't at thing) because a texture is NEVER rendered in the same resolution with which it resides in memory. A in game objects texture resolution is never the same as the screen resolution, with a few exceptions where complex models have many textures from a single image applied to them.
